Senior Watch Trader – Luxury Timepieces

Location: UK – Office Based / Hybrid
Salary: Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission

The Opportunity

An established luxury watch business operating at the top end of the global secondary market is seeking an experienced Senior Watch Trader to join its growing team.

This is a commercially driven role suited to a proven trader with deep market knowledge, strong industry relationships, and the ability to operate confidently within high-value transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in acquisitions and sales while protecting margins, managing risk, and upholding the highest standards of discretion and professionalism.

The Role

You will be responsible for sourcing, pricing, and trading high-value luxury timepieces across the UK and international secondry market. Working closely with internal teams, you will ensure all transactions meet strict quality, compliance, and authenticity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Buy and sell luxury watches within the UK and international market
  • Price inventory accurately based on live market conditions and demand
  • Source stock through dealer networks, private clients, and trade relationships
  • Manage high-value transactions with speed, accuracy, and discretion
  • Carry out initial condition, provenance, and risk checks on acquisitions
  • Work closely with authentication and operations teams
  • Handle private client and trade enquiries professionally
  • Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and liquidity

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience trading luxury watches within the secondary market
  • Strong knowledge of leading high-end watch brands
  • An established dealer or trade network
  • Commercial mindset with strong margin awareness
  • Confidence handling high-value transactions
  • High levels of integrity, attention to detail, and discretion

Desirable:

  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients
  • Understanding of AML and KYC obligations
  • Background in luxury assets, jewellery, or collectible markets
