Description

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Store Manager to lead a prestigious, independent retailer of fine jewellery and luxury watches, based in Gloucestershire. This jewellery business is renowned for its dedication to excellence, curated product selection, and outstanding customer service.

You’ll be heading a close-knit, high-performing team in a beautifully appointed boutique, where traditional values meet contemporary luxury.

We’re seeking a dynamic and commercially astute leader with a background in luxury retail—ideally within the jewellery or watch sectors. You’ll take ownership of daily operations, inspire your team to deliver exceptional service, and play a key role in business performance and client engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

Store operations:

    • Ensure the smooth, compliant, and efficient running of day-to-day store operations
    • Maintain impeccable store presentation aligned with the luxury brand identity
    • Act as the main point of contact for selected brand partners
    • Oversee product ordering and manage supplier relationships
    • Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and care

    Sales and customer experience:

      • Motivate the sales team to meet and exceed targets
      • Build long-term customer relationships through expert, personalised service
      • Lead by example in delivering an exceptional in-store experience
      • Support merchandising, supplier meetings, and VIP events
      • Continuously identify ways to elevate the customer journey

      Team leadership:

        • Foster a collaborative, values-driven team culture
        • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development
        • Liaise with internal trainers to support learning and development initiatives

        Stock and inventory:

          • Oversee stock control, ordering, and visual merchandising
          • Collaborate with brand representatives to ensure optimal product availability
          • Maintain accurate records and adherence to inventory protocols

          Business and finance:

            • Monitor store performance and identify commercial growth opportunities
            • Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
            • Assist with scheduling, payroll coordination, and in-store event planning

            Marketing and promotions:

              • Plan and deliver seasonal promotions, launches, and client engagement events
              • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure campaign alignment
              • Adapt local marketing strategies based on customer insights

              What’s on offer:

                • Industry leading salary with performance-based bonuses
                • Car allowance and private medical insurance
                • Staff discount on luxury jewellery and watches
                • Clear path for progression and long-term career development
                • A respectful, collaborative culture within a well-established business

If you're a proven leader with a strong background in retail management and a passion for delivering luxury service, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact in a beautifully run, independent business.
