Diamond Inventory Controller – Fine Jewellery | London
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious fine jewellery company, seeking an experienced and highly organised Stock & Inventory Coordinator to join their team in London. This role plays a vital part in managing inventory across multiple locations, focusing on loose diamonds, and some metals.
The Role
As Diamond Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for the accurate management of a large inventory of loose stones and components, supporting production and fulfilment through effective stock control. You will oversee stock movements across both local and overseas workshops, manage system records, and ensure availability of components to meet production schedules.
This role requires a meticulous, proactive individual with strong system skills (SAP, Excel) and the ability to work independently while liaising with multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage stock of up to 4,500 certificated stones across international workshops and up to 1,000 loose stones in the London studio
Oversee stock levels and reordering of components (collets, chains, ear fittings, etc.) for repeatable orders
Create job bags and organise required components for production
Conduct metal stock checks and prepare reports
Lead annual and periodic stock takes (covering metals, stones, and components) across 9 warehouse locations
Investigate stock discrepancies and negative stock issues using SAP
Transfer stock between warehouses and maintain accurate records
Support mounters by ensuring correct components are selected and available
Report directly to senior stakeholders
About You
Proven experience in stock or inventory management, ideally within fine jewellery or luxury goods
Strong working knowledge of SAP (Business One / System One)
Confident user of Excel and Trello
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
Able to work independently while maintaining strong team communication and collaboration
Comfortable managing high volumes of valuable stock across multiple locations
