- Casing Supervisor required for watch company based in Kent.
Role / Job Purpose:-
As Supervisor:
To oversee and ensure all watch cases, bracelets and clasps are de-cased and re-cased at the right quality, lead time and cost, according to Breitling specification
As Caser:
To de-case and re-case all watch cases, bracelets and clasps, using correct tools and techniques, at the right quality, lead time and cost, according to company specification.
Key Duties
Supervisor Duties:
Oversight of work allocation by the team using current reporting formats
Be the main point of communication between your team and the rest of the After Sales Service Department
Provide a weekly update to the Workshop Manager of the team performance using current performance based reports
Provide weekly feedback to the team on their performance; based on quality, lead time and cost
Work closely with the Workshop Manager and all Technical Supervisors to ensure consistency of quality and processes and to promote a flexible workforce when required
Monitor and advise Workshop Manager of any training requirements for the team
Carry out any training as agreed with the Workshop Manager and according to the needs of the team
Carry out appraisals and associated 121 meetings, for each team member as and when required by the company
Adherence to all relevant company policies and procedures
Promote the company values
Caser Duties:
De-case and re-case all cases, bracelets and clasps you have received training on, to company standards of quality, lead time and cost.
Carry out other administrative and technical duties as required by the Workshop Manager
Principal Accountabilities
Supervisor Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the team allocates themselves work according to business needs
Working with the Workshop Manager and the other Technical Supervisors, ensure the team members are placed in the right areas according the business needs i.e. flexible workforce
Ensure all members of the team are contributing to their unit’s productivity, whilst adhering to company standards of quality, lead time and costEnsure all relevant paperwork is appropriately filled out before passing the work to the Workshop
Responsible for giving feedback to their teams on any situation as appropriate, both positive and in areas requiring improvement
Ensure the Technical Trainer and Workshop Manager are advised of any identified technical and administrative training needs, to support all the points above
Ensure de-casing and re-casing training is carried out and the Technical Trainer and Workshop Manager are updated on the teams new capabilities
Responsible for continuous improvement, efficiency and effectiveness of their team
Ensure you and your team adhere to appropriate HSE regulations
Ensure the team have the appropriate guidance and support to develop within their roles
Ensure your team understands and promotes the company values
