Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Junior Jewellery Merchandiser to support a talented merchandising team in London. The ideal candidate will assist in planning, developing, and executing merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and drive sales. This role requires a keen eye for fashion trends, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of merchandising plans that align with the company’s sales objectives.
- Support the Senior Merchandiser in monitoring stock levels and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Analise sales data and market trends to make informed decisions on product assortment and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with the design team to select and launch new jewellery collections.
- Maintain and update merchandising reports, including sales performance and inventory turnover.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure visual merchandising standards are met and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in organising promotional events, product launches, and in-store displays.
- Communicate with the sales team to gather feedback and insights on customer preferences and product performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to suggest new product ideas and enhancements.
- Handle administrative tasks related to merchandising, such as purchase order creation and invoice processing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in merchandising, preferably within the jewellery or fashion industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Creative flair with a good understanding of visual merchandising principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Passion for jewellery and an understanding of current fashion trends.
