Overview
Key Responsibilities
This role sits within the merchandising function of a luxury retail business, supporting assortment planning, stock allocation and inventory management across a multi-location retail network. The position works closely with internal merchandising stakeholders and cross-functional teams to monitor sales performance, manage stock flow and provide data-led insights to support commercial decisions and maximise trading opportunities.- Support the execution of assortment strategies and stock allocation across multiple regions and retail locations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement allocation and replenishment plans.
- Monitor inventory levels on a regular basis, proactively rebalancing stock to minimise stock shortages and overstock situations.
- Analyse sales data and historical performance to support allocation decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in developing and maintaining allocation frameworks, including initial allocations and size distribution planning.
- Provide day-to-day operational support to retail locations, including handling stock requests, coordinating deliveries and responding to stock enquiries.
- Track weekly and monthly sales and stock performance across locations, providing insights to support commercial decision-making.
- Coordinate shipments in collaboration with logistics and quality control teams.
- Support the implementation of regional pricing updates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information and internal documentation.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal reviews and assortment planning.
- Support additional merchandising projects and ad hoc tasks as required.
- 2–4 years’ experience within a merchandising, stock or retail operations role, ideally within a luxury or premium environment.
- Previous experience within jewellery, watches or a similar product category is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualisation tools is advantageous.
- High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy.
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive and naturally curious.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- An interest in jewellery or gemstones would be beneficial.
