- We have an exciitng vacancy for a De-casing Technician with Rolex watches at their impressive service centre in Kings Hill, Kent.
The role is ideally suited to a candidate from a luxury watch retail background, goldsmith, polishing or quality control background. This role is exclusive to Jewellery Stylist and so please only apply through this website.
Role Summary
This is a role where attention to detail and precision are paramount. Working to strict standard operation procedures (SOPs) and within a small, structured team, the post holder’s primary responsibility is focused on the de-casing of watch movements, including the removal of the watch dial and hands from Rolex and Tudor watches.
There is scope for progression within a defined development framework and full training will be provided to applicants who possess the required personal attributes outlined in the candidate profile.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Removes watch dials and hands and dismantles cases.
Identifies and distributes any exchange components and pre-cleans movements in line with standard operation procedures.
Prioritises and organises personal workflow.
Orders and matches all chargeable case and bracelet components, ensuring all old parts are returned to the Materials department on an exchange basis.
Where an estimate is refused by a customer, prepares the job for return to customer.
Consistently performs all tasks with a focus on daily production and quality KPIs.
Maintains tools and other precision equipment to the required standards.
Contributes to the efficient and timely workflow and quality lead times.

Essential
Educated to minimum secondary school level
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of concentration and focus
A good level of dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination

GCSE or equivalent grade C or above in and Art or Craft / Design & Technology discipline
Previous experience working as part of a small team
