- Senior Merchandiser
Key role responsibilities include:
Weekly category analysis on baseline and new products
Weekly and monthly sales analysis: best/worst sellers, core product sales
Assist the wider team with weekly and seasonal global reporting
Own regional assortment database and work with markets to keep this updated
Develop assortment planning tools to enable efficient regional and global assortment planning
Responsible for detailed category sales and inventory planning
Partner with the Production team to develop pricing recommendations
In partnership with Production and Allocation teams, understand existing business risks and opportunities regarding product inventory
Manage best sellers stock position, ensuring a never out of stock model is delivered
Partner with Allocations team to ensure optimal store stocks are maintained in line with promotional strategy/key trading periods
Required competencies for this role include:
Experience of preparing reports, manipulating data and understanding figures
Strong fashion/jewellery retail background within a merchandising department
Understanding of diamond planning and allocation is an asset
Experienced and confident in merchandise and retail systems
Excellent MS Office skills: advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Planning and Merchandising Software development know how (knowledge of SQL a plus)
An analytical mindset
Ability to work under pressure and to meet short deadlines
High attention to detail
Good commercial awareness
Excellent communicator and team player
Able to use initiative and make recommendations to maximise sales
