Senior Production Workshop Mounter / Assembler
Location: London
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday–Friday)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceWe are working with a well-established fine jewellery workshop in London that is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Production Mounter / Assembler to support its growing production team.
This role would suit a highly skilled bench professional with strong mounting and assembly experience, capable of working to exacting standards within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
The Role
As a Senior Production Mounter / Assembler, you will be responsible for the accurate assembly and preparation of fine jewellery pieces, contributing to both day-to-day production and the continued development of the workshop.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assembling fine jewellery, including single, two-piece, and three-piece cast mounts
- Preparing and assembling multi-part castings with precision and consistency
- Working with precious metals including 18ct gold and platinum
- Occasional hand wiring of rings, resizing, and repair work as required
- Maintaining exceptional standards of finish and craftsmanship across all pieces
- Supporting workshop efficiency and best practice as production volumes increase
- Assisting with problem-solving, prototyping, and new design development
- Meeting production deadlines while maintaining strict quality standards
- Working independently on allocated tasks and collaboratively within the workshop team
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Mounter / Assembler within a high-end fine jewellery workshop
- Minimum 5 years’ bench experience as a goldsmith or jeweller
- Strong technical ability with excellent hand skills and attention to detail
- Confident working with fine jewellery and precious metals
- Ability to manage workload independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Experience using modern workshop tools and techniques, including laser welding, preferred
