About the Company
Our client is one of London’s most elite and prestigious fine jewellers, renowned for its heritage, discretion, and exceptional craftsmanship. With a client base that includes royalty, global tastemakers, and private collectors, this house sets the highest standards in jewellery design and production.They are now seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory and Stock control specialist to join their Manufacturing Department, with a focus on managing diamond and precious metal inventories. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the production of some of the world’s most exquisite fine jewellery pieces.
The Role
This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth, secure, and efficient flow of diamond and metal stock across the business, supporting both internal manufacturing and external outworkers.
Working closely with production, quality control, and studio teams, you will ensure that all materials are tracked, controlled, and available when needed, while also helping to improve and enhance existing systems and processes.
While technical knowledge of diamonds isn’t essential, a background in stock control or inventory management in a luxury or high-value product environment is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the movement, tracking, and control of diamond inventory within the head office and across the manufacturing workflow
Maintain oversight of thousands of loose stones held in stock and sent to external outworkers (including internationally), ensuring accurate tracking and accountability
Monitor and control precious metal components required to support the in-house studio and craftsmen
Conduct regular stock takes (every few weeks) and reconcile discrepancies
Liaise with production and quality control to ensure materials are available for scheduled work
Maintain precise inventory records using Excel and internal stock systems
Generate stock usage reports and inventory forecasts to support production planning
Coordinate secure internal movement of materials between departments and workshops
Assist in optimising inventory systems, with scope to introduce improvements and efficiencies
Ensure compliance with internal controls, security protocols, and regulatory standards
Required Experience & Attributes:
Must have:
Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or merchandising, ideally within fine jewellery, luxury goods, or high-value products
Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail when handling high-value items
Confident working with Excel (including formulas, pivot tables) and stock management systems
Analytical mindset with the ability to generate reports and monitor stock trends
Proactive approach, with a mindset to identify and implement process improvements
Trusted, discreet, and capable of working in a secure, high-expectation environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
