Inventory & Stock Control Specialist – Diamond & Precious Metals Inventory

Luxury Fine Jewellery | Central London | Full-Time, Permanent

About the Company
Our client is one of London’s most elite and prestigious fine jewellers, renowned for its heritage, discretion, and exceptional craftsmanship. With a client base that includes royalty, global tastemakers, and private collectors, this house sets the highest standards in jewellery design and production.

They are now seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory and Stock control specialist to join their Manufacturing Department, with a focus on managing diamond and precious metal inventories. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the production of some of the world’s most exquisite fine jewellery pieces.

The Role

This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth, secure, and efficient flow of diamond and metal stock across the business, supporting both internal manufacturing and external outworkers.

Working closely with production, quality control, and studio teams, you will ensure that all materials are tracked, controlled, and available when needed, while also helping to improve and enhance existing systems and processes.

While technical knowledge of diamonds isn’t essential, a background in stock control or inventory management in a luxury or high-value product environment is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the movement, tracking, and control of diamond inventory within the head office and across the manufacturing workflow

  • Maintain oversight of thousands of loose stones held in stock and sent to external outworkers (including internationally), ensuring accurate tracking and accountability

  • Monitor and control precious metal components required to support the in-house studio and craftsmen

  • Conduct regular stock takes (every few weeks) and reconcile discrepancies

  • Liaise with production and quality control to ensure materials are available for scheduled work

  • Maintain precise inventory records using Excel and internal stock systems

  • Generate stock usage reports and inventory forecasts to support production planning

  • Coordinate secure internal movement of materials between departments and workshops

  • Assist in optimising inventory systems, with scope to introduce improvements and efficiencies

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, security protocols, and regulatory standards

Required Experience & Attributes:

Must have:

  • Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or merchandising, ideally within fine jewellery, luxury goods, or high-value products

  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail when handling high-value items

  • Confident working with Excel (including formulas, pivot tables) and stock management systems

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to generate reports and monitor stock trends

  • Proactive approach, with a mindset to identify and implement process improvements

  • Trusted, discreet, and capable of working in a secure, high-expectation environment

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

What’s On Offer:

  • A rare opportunity to work for one of the world’s leading luxury jewellers

  • Competitive salary, plus bonus and additional benefits

  • Full-time, permanent position

  • Mayfair London location

  • A supportive, professional team environment focused on excellence
