Description

We have a vacancy for an E-Commerce professional with a luxury jewellers based in Leicestershire.

The E-Commerce Assistant will support the online sales operations by taking high-quality photographs of jewellery items, updating the website with accurate and engaging product descriptions, and assisting with various e-commerce activities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and experience in both photography and e-commerce would be desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Photography:

  • Take high-quality, detailed photographs of jewellery items for the online store.
  • Ensure proper lighting, angles, and settings to highlight the features and beauty of each piece.
  • Edit and retouch photos as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain an organised digital archive of all product images.

Website Management:

  • Upload product images and descriptions to the e-commerce website.
  • Write clear, accurate, and engaging product descriptions, including details about materials, dimensions, and special features.
  • Update and maintain product listings, ensuring all information is current and correct.
  • Monitor website for errors and work with the web development team to resolve any issues.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist with inventory tracking and management, ensuring accurate stock levels are reflected online.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage stock and update listings accordingly.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to the E-Commerce Manager.

Customer Service:

  • Respond to customer inquiries and feedback related to online products and orders.
  • Assist with processing online orders, returns, and exchanges.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience.

Criteria:

  • Proven experience in product photography, preferably with jewellery or similar small items.
  • Basic knowledge of photography techniques and equipment, including lighting and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Experience in e-commerce, website management, or digital marketing.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create engaging and informative product descriptions.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and online marketing strategies is a plus.
