- We have vacancies available in the Manchester area for Luxury Watchmakers and Luxury Watch Technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Watch Repair and Servicing:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, automatic, and quartz watches.
Conduct routine maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal performance.
Disassemble and assemble watches, replacing defective parts and adjusting movements.
Technical Expertise:
Possess in-depth knowledge of watch movements, complications, and materials.
Utilise precision tools and equipment for accurate measurements and adjustments.
Stay current with industry advancements and emerging technologies in watchmaking.
Quality Control:
Conduct rigorous testing to verify the accuracy and functionality of repaired or serviced watches.
Ensure that all watches meet the company's quality standards before being released to customers.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of watch repairs, including parts used, services performed, and testing results.
Generate accurate estimates for repair costs and communicate with customers regarding timelines and recommendations.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with colleagues in the watchmaking and technical departments to share knowledge and expertise.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Watchmaker or Watch Technician, with a strong portfolio of successfully serviced and repaired watches.
Formal education or certification in watchmaking or a related field.
Proficiency in using specialised tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Knowledge of luxury watch brands and their specific technical requirements.
