- PRODUCTION PLANNER
General Purpose of the Position:
Operating in a fast paced and constantly evolving environment, our client is recruiting a Production Planner to join the team to support the development of the strategic plan of our business. The Production Planner will be working closely with a variety of teams including Merchandising, Sales Liaison and Production. The successful candidate will be extremely commercially oriented, with an analytical mindset, have strong communication skills and be strategic to help to identify areas of sales growth, profitability and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Analytics:
Review monthly production planning and adjust according to the needs
Split orders by suppliers depending on capacity, priorities and strengths
Support the re-order process through analytical inputs and monitoring
Support the sales forecasting process
Relationship with suppliers:
Manage the relationship with our work shops regarding production of permanent styles and ensure they agree on the plan and negotiate if necessary
Review supplier delivery status regularly
Communication tool:
Update the product launch plan
Reportings:
Rate of sales vs rate of production report
Update Master and Panorama files to keep track of Stock, Sales, Open orders, Upcoming deliveries, Incoming shipments
Cross-functional collaboration:
Consolidate stone needed to place new orders and liaise with procurement
Update production status file to support the Merchandising activity
Provide information regarding lead-time to Merchandising or Sales Liaison when necessary
Provide delivery schedule to help the Merchandising to plan product launches
Collaborate with Merchandising and Franchise to develop accurate sales forecasts
Skills and Ability:
Master’s degree in Business Management
3-5 years of experience in Merchandising, Business Planning in a Retail Environment
Commercial mindset, highly driven, self-motivated & curious
Advanced analytical skills, detailed oriented, thorough and strives for accuracy
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Problem solving skills approach, ability to negotiate with our workshops
Understand the dynamics of Fashion and Retail
Team player
Good time management and prioritization skills
Proficient Excel & PowerPoint user
Interest in Jewellery and some diamond knowledge is beneficial
