- Role:
As Technical Training Manager, you will have responsibility for both the development and delivery of standards and training for the technical skills required. Horological experience is vital and should be paired with the ability to create, develop, and maintain processes and training material ensuring they are fit for purpose and being adhered to. Delivering training material and providing feedback to the relevant department leads to ensure continuous improvement and individual progressions towards PDP’s is being achieved. Standardising tooling and processes across workshops and departments is essential to guarantee repeatable methods are achieved to a high standard throughout the company. Supporting with the recruitment of high-quality technical staff.
Responsibilities:
Constant review of all technical processes and procedures; ensuring relevant documentation is maintained and updated where appropriate for Intranet for use by internal and authorised external workshops.
Provide appropriate training in relation to all technical matters throughout the various departments e.g. Assembly, Service Centre, Boutiques
Provide support for day-to-day technical issues.
Advise on standardised tooling/equipment requirements across all technical areas.
Devise and manage the training calendar for all technical staff.
Provide technical feedback and support in relation to talent acquisition.
Build and maintain relationships with technical partners e.g. BHI, BSOW, BCU
Criteria:
WOSTEP accredited or similar diploma in watchmaking.
Proven technical training record in watchmaking.
Can deliver technical knowledge clearly and confidently to different audiences.
Proven record of constructing technical information documents for use in workshops.
Be an excellent communicator with the ability to develop relationships at all levels.
Have the ability to perform duties whilst adhering to tight deadlines.
Full job spec available for suitable candidates
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
Service experience with 5 years bench experience.
Varied industry experience from within the watch industry would be advantageous for this role.
