- Description
- A jewellery cataloguer is required for a luxury jewellery company based in the Essex area, roughly 30 miles from London.
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and organised individual to join a successful jewellery department. Working with jewellery valuers in the team, you will be cataloguing items of jewellery taken in for sale or valuation from clients.
Prior experience in a jewellers or pawn brokers is desirable, as is having a strong ability to assess jewellery with good research skills. Gemology qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities:-
Testing of jewellery
Cataloguing jewellery for sale
Writing condition reports
Organising photography
Assisting with saleroom preparation and lotting up for sale
Working closely with the team to understand customer drivers and help maintain an industry leading servicePerson Specification

· Ability to work independently using own initiative and as part of a team
· Well organised and conscientious
· Strong eye for detail- Enthusiastic
· Flexible to take on additional tasks/responsibilities
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Computer literate
Desirable Skills
· Understanding of working in a client facing business and liaising with members of the public
· Experience of using Office 365 SharePoint
· Full UK driving licence
