- Description
- The role of Head of Operations is to manage a cross functional team across multiple areas of the business to maximise sales potential, ensure best customer support and meet business critical objectives, including strong communication, cohesive decision making and timely execution.
Merchandising:
Product assortment and range structure for all product categories
Oversight of monthly reporting and product order management world wide
Comfortable at understanding jeweller trading patterns and overseeing merchandising team monthly orders
Model stock set up and review by product category
Automating/improving efficiency of re-orders for high volume product categories
New store openings critical path management, including inventory order, delivery and rebalances
Price and margin analysis as it relates to retail and franchise business needs
Understanding of jewellery transportation methods for purposes of exhibition and carnet management of stock movements to global locations, to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness
Allocations:
Ensure shipments and allocation of stock is done in efficient and strategic way, taking into account recent sales performance, market feedback and seasonality
Work with merchandising team to review and execute weekly shipments world wide
Production/Supply Chain:
Oversight of jewellery and watch orders across retail and wholesale, working with teams to validate and prioritising key lines and categories
Good understanding of supply chain and critical path management as it relates to diamond and jewellery production with ability to propose solutions to improve product flow or remove bottlenecks in supply and production time frame
E-commerce:
Partner with digital team on new collection launches, including assortment strategy, product planning and photography, inventory management and site merchandising
Create product selection for digital marketing strategy, including inventory planning and distribution
Manage and have good understanding of omni-channel product assortment strategy as it relates to e-commerce international sales, including but not limited to product availability by region, international shipment limitations and variance in taxes and duties globally
Regular website checks to review inventory accuracy and up to date product messaging and site merchandising, representative of company global product strategy
General:
Recruitment and training across all of the departments under management
Work with IT on any system changes and upgrades
Ad-hoc project management
