- Role responsibility
There are three main strands to the responsibilities of this role all of which focus on supporting the delivery of key projects which enable CMJ strategic pillars to be achieved.
The first responsibility requires support to our Director of Membership Development and in particular the strategy for recruitment of new retailer members.
The second responsibility relates to the coordination of CMJ trade events and regional meetings, supporting our Group Events Manager.
Thirdly, responsibility in assisting our Membership Manager whose role it is to manage and exceed the expectations of our existing retailer and supplier membership.
The Project Coordinator will be required to help deliver key elements of each project across the team. These elements will be mostly operational and administrative, but the support will be dependent on the requirements of the team and how you can best enable them to progress the project.
Role Accountabilities
The Role Responsibilities capture the essence of the role of Projects Coordinator.
Specifically, this role:
Supports the Director of Membership Development, Membership Manager, and the Group Events Manager, deliver the key projects relating to the Pillars of the CMJ strategy, smoothly and on time.
Your support will allow the team to focus on delivering the project because of the detailed and administrative support provided.
As a project coordinator, it will be important you are both able and feel comfortable to use your own initiative and multi-task as required. You will be empowered to progress each project element as you see fit, safe in the knowledge the wider ECOM and leadership team are there to support.
It is equally important to be proactive in your support and to provide information you consider from your experience to be beneficial to each project.
As the CMJ’s Project Coordinator, you will play your part in reinforcing relationships with our members and key stakeholders so strong communication skills are essential.
Key to this role is exceptional organisational ability, attention to detail, confidence in planning and reporting on the progress of certain project elements, producing, maintaining, and collating project documentation (including project budgets) and strong multitasking skills.
Proficiency in the use of Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook are essential.
It is important to note that the CMJ team is a small one, and there are duties and projects that are outside of your direct responsibilities where you may be required to support or even lead.
This role could potentially involve the need for travel to and attendance at meetings/events outside of regular working hours.
