Description
We have an exciting vacancy for a Production Manager with a well known established fine jewellers in London.

The role of the Production Manager
 
To manage all aspects of production, whether for bespoke orders or stock items, and to ensure these are delivered to deadlines efficiently and at a cost and quality appropriate to the company’s philosophy
To maintain the company’s creations securely and to offer an exceptional service to their esteemed clientele whenever necessary
Support the Business Manager in sales and business activities as required

Production Management
 
Managing all production aspects within the London business
Ensuring workshop procedures are in place so that production is cost and time efficient
Preparing design outlines for new orders going into the workshop
Providing quotations for bespoke and stock makes and completing quote sheets as required – working with the jeweller to determine costings
Work with external suppliers (Diamond and Gemstone dealers, Setters, CAD Designers, Casters, Engravers) to ensure good relations, best prices, achievement of deadlines and quality assurance
Quality control – checking each piece is made to companystandards of perfection, throughout the manufacture process and at completion
Assembling new stock creations and makes in the company’s operating system (SWIM) including accurate. details and photographs and stocking in additional material such as Certificates
Regular visits to Hatton Garden to deliver and collect orders as well as deliver
and collect Assay
Process invoices - linking job numbers, client name and whether job entered on SWIM to supplier charges and pass to Business Manager for approval
Reporting on productivity of London workshop
Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss enquiries, job status and any issues regarding timelines or orders
Communicate daily with the Business Manager and sales team regarding production issues, customer orders and current workflow
