- We have a great vacancy for a talented jewellery designer with good CAD skills to work for a well known established jewellery company in Gloucestershire.
Role Responsibilities:
Meeting clients to discuss potential designs
Sourcing gemstones and materials for designs
Model making designs in wax/clay as required
Producing design proposals in hand drawn and CAD mediums
Costing designs for sale in line with margin targets
Creating accurate technical drawings for bespoke pieces
Liaising with workshop to create CAD builds for manufacture for bespoke, special manufacturing, core and repairs
Reducing errors and mistakes at the design stage to limit waste
Maintaining contact with clients throughout production process
Ensuring the audit trail on EPOS is up to date
Assisting with range plans for core collections
Managing own work load, ensuring work is completed on time
Writing Valuations for completed Bespoke Designs
Photographing jewellery to be used in Valuations and social media
Use branding tools when completing bespoke, repair or special manufacturing jobs
Assisting the Creative Director in the development of branding tools and core designs
Where necessary, completing the Back Office costing for bespoke and special manufacturing
Assisting the shop floor for branded jewellery and watch sales
Assisting the shop floor with the booking in of repairs
Assisting the shop floor with stock control, store transfers and stock takes
Producing core designs to brief from Creative Director, in line with brand image
Negotiating competitive prices with supplier
Exploring ways to penetrate new markets
Chasing leads and following up on opportunities to generate sales
Updating customer records in the company database as required
Ensuring all administration for sales are completed effectively
Assisting the Shop Manager with the cleanliness of the Jewellery Dept, that the windows are kept free of dust and the cabinets do not have visible finger marks
Assist the Shop Manager with the storing of jewellery into the safe every night, taking responsibility for the security of the safe if no manager present
Assisting the Shop Manager to bring in effective marketing displays for the sales floor and store windows
Attending industry conferences and events
Assisting the marking dept. with the selection of jewellery for PR Events
Using social media to promote the brand, including bespoke, design, watches and jewellery
