- We have a vacancy for a luxury watchmaker with a well know global luxxury watch brand based in London.
The role:
Contribute to producing quality watch repairs for consumers meeting company service goals and standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical
Ability to service quartz and mechanical timepieces.
Knowledge of how to set, adjust and activate all functions of watches.
Implement solutions for repair such as moisture damage, timing adjustments & cleaning escape wheels.
Test and replace batteries and other electronic components and the ability to repair/replace movements, gaskets, crystals, cases & crowns.
Knowledge and ability to use repair tools and testing equipment.
Test timepiece accuracy and performance, using meters and other electronic instruments.
Estimate repair costs
Clean, rinse, and dry timepiece parts, using solutions and ultrasonic or mechanical watch-cleaning machines.
Disassemble timepieces and inspect them for defective, worn, misaligned, or rusty parts, using loupes.
Reassemble timepieces, replacing glass faces and batteries, before returning them to customers.
Operational
Maintain a clean and tidy workbench and contribute on daily / weekly basis to the workshop/ cleaning room cleaning rota.
Maintain a clean and tidy stock area ensuring all parts are returned to the correct drawers and stock orders placed with admin team.
