- We have an amazing vacancy for a Quality Control Manager with excellent After Sales skills to join a prestigious fine jewellers in Mayfair London.
Regional Quality Control of stock
Be responsible for setting up training and procedures to allow teams to perform a thorough quality check on all items being received and sent
Be responsible for checking High end pieces entering the UK
Provide training to staff for handling, storage, transfer and packing of stock pieces as well as review boutique storage and find optimum solutions.
Work with boutiques and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure pieces are displayed and handled with minimal damage
Set up a quality control process for inter boutique and warehouse transfers to assign accountability for internal damage to boutiques
Track the costs of repairs for damaged pieces
Be able to respond to Boutique’s technical questions on products
Attend and oversee all stock counts
Regional After Sales and Repairs of stock
Set up a detailed procedure and process for all watch and fine jewellery repairs in the Region
Validation and control of process of external workshops in the UK Region
Oversee all repairs: quality, time frame, cost effectiveness
Identify alternative suppliers where required
Monitor usage of parts to determine stock quality for spare parts including FOC in boutiques and repair centre
Develop KPIs to review repair lead times
Manage boutique expectations on lead times for repairs
Monitor and manage ASS service for wholesalers
Lead and monitor the proactive after sales service
Regional After Sales Service Supply Chain
Set up procedure and processes for all ordering and replenishments for spare parts, accessories and straps for Boutiques, Warehouse and After Sales Team (including for novelties) in the Region
Order packaging materials to ensure safe transportation and storage of items
Create a Model Stock for all spare parts in the Region
Monitor stock of spare parts and accessories and rebalance across the Region where needed
Regional Events
Assist at events and provide training for handling, display and packing of pieces
Liaise with team, boutiques and Paris regarding timings of deliveries and return of pieces
Pricing
Working with Finance and After sales teams to ensure up to date pricing of spare parts
Monitor price lists for Customer and Wholesale repairs
Personal Skills required:
Well presented, self-motivated and an established team member with at least five years’ experience in a luxury High Jewellery/ Watch environment
Good knowledge in high jewellery and precious stone
Strong analytical skills (advanced Excel) and good commercial awareness
Ability to work independently and approach projects with a logical and inquisitive mindset
Highly organised and efficient at personal time management
Ability to form and build relationships with colleagues at all levels and divisions in the business
Work effectively and efficiently, sharing relevant information within the network and with other departments as appropriate (IT, Marketing, Sales, Visual Merchandising, Retail, Legal, Finance etc.)
Reliable, supportive and flexible approach and attitude to workload and hours
International travel will be required on an ad hoc basis
