- We have an exciting vacancy for a Dimaond and Coloured Gemstone buyer with a fine jewellery manufacturer in South London.
The role involves:
Buying and sourcing of all small diamond and coloured stone stock from various suppliers based in UK and overseas.
Stocking in of all loose stone purchases on our bespoke stock control program including currency conversions.
Control, and maintain all loose stone stock, and replenish stock parcels of regular lines.
Carry out regular inventory checks and reconciliations on all loose stone stock
Picking stones for all production jobs via our production management system.
Liaising with production staff on stone issues.
Quoting on stones costs for new lines and bespoke pieces.
Sourcing of stones for new lines and bespoke pieces.
Criteria:-
Strong experience in working with loose diamonds and coloured stones in a commercial environment is crucial, however, further training will be offered.
A long commitment to the jewellery industry and a genuine love for stones is vital.
An interest and ability to deliver consistently high standards is a must.
GIA qualification or industry similar is desirable
There is a possibility to branch out into other areas of production and the business.
Hours - 8.45am-5.30pm Mon-Fri. Standard hours may increase or decrease due to varying workloads.
Lunch break 30 mins.
Holidays – 20 days PA + all UK Bank Holidays
Staff bonus scheme after 1st year.
