Market Manager
Whilst maintaining Store Management responsibilities for your base location, you will also manage and monitor sales, operational, merchandising, housekeeping, new store standards and human resource functions for other stores and Kiosks that fall within your area.
Sales Generation
To maximize revenues at all Stores and Kiosks in your area.
1. To analyse sales trends and develop action plans to maximise sales.
2. To ensure satisfactory implementation of action plans and monitor to deliver success.
3. To ensure store management provide staff with effective sales training and techniques for high quality customer service.
4. Utilise “Best Practice” sales generation and customer service techniques and provide on-going training to store management.

Operational Standards
To actively manage loss prevention and expense control in all stores and Kiosks in your area.
1. To ensure store managers reduce shortage and enforce an increased awareness of loss prevention.
2. To monitor and manage shortages to brand goals and produce recommendations of corrective actions as and when required.
3. To conduct loss prevention training.
4. To monitor & review key administration and communication functions & communicate to senior management via store visit forms.
5. To manage & implement effective control over all controllable indirect costs within designated outlets.
Visual Merchandising
To ensure company standards are maintained at all times.
1. To ensure that Retail outlets are merchandised to company standards.
2. To be aware of inventory through monitoring and control.
3. To ensure that Retail outlets are stocked as per ranging plans at all times.
Human Resources
To be responsible for personnel planning and administration.
1. Provide continuous coaching and development opportunities to store managers.
2. Monitor & improve Managers’ performance through quarterly appraisals (against business plan & personal objectives) and ensuring corrective action plans in place.
3. Assess store manager’s morale and provide all effort to resolve problems.
4. First point of contact for all staff issues within your area.

Main Function
To ensure all Brand products are displayed at the relevant standard to maximise sales and to train all client staff on Brand products.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimising the visual representation of the Brand.
- Ensuring all retail staff are fully trained and educated on all products, collections and associated issues. Also to ensure staff are highly motivated towards the brand.
- All listings must have the complete range of products on display and all POS must be current, promoting the up to date collections and key lines, also incorporating POS relating to advertising campaigns or promotions.
- Having a full understanding of how the Brand customer accounts operate.
- Continually seek to improve the sales performance of the Brand stockists through trade support and training and merchandising initiatives.
Key Tasks
Display/Merchandising
- To develop and build relationships with retail staff in selected domestic retail chains.
- To optimise display opportunities and look for creative solutions both in-store and in the respective environments.
- The building and implementation of bespoke and off-the-shelf merchandising – the aim being to maximise the brand and create store images to provoke and instigate sales of Brand watches.
- Presenting new product launches and collections at retail level in line with new season launches.
- The management of ranges and stock in-store to ensure the consumer has ready access to the products (i.e. ensure that all stock room stock on display where appropriate).
Training
- You are to carry out the minimum number of agreed training calls per account that you are responsible for. The number is agreed with the National Sales Manager.
- Calls to be made at the convenient time for the customer.
- All of the retail staff can demonstrate a good knowledge of the Brand. A good knowledge relates to:
- Product features and benefits
- Pricing
- Advertising/POS/PR
- Terms and Conditions
- Display management
- To ensure all staff training aids are available at each session
- Retail staff can demonstrate selling skills related to the sale of the specified brand
- To carry out staff training in all areas of products and sales. To educate and motivate retail staff.
- To ensure that stores receive up to date training information on new product
- Ensure that all new staff have an induction training programme as soon as possible.
- To be responsible for production of training information and to ensure that this is kept up to date.

Product Knowledge
- A full in-depth knowledge of all products must be developed.

- All functions of a product can be demonstrated explained with 100% conviction and accuracy.

Planning
- Responsibility for the detailed planning necessary to ensure the effective running of the active accounts and for maximising the effective us of available merchandising time.
- Standards of performance are attained in the above when:
- An annual Business Plan is prepared and implemented throughout the course of the year.
- Planned objectives are worked out and adhered to before and during each call, and assessed/monitored on a regular basis.
- All appropriate merchandising and training aids are to hand and used, where appropriate, in each call.
Administration
- Maintain informative up-to-date filing systems
- The use and timely application of paperwork and reporting structure, i.e. forward journey plans, contact reports, competition analysis etc
- The weekly forward journey sheets are mailed in two weeks in advance
- Point of Sale orders to be sent to Marketing department a minimum of once per week.
- Expenses and mileage sheets to be received fortnightly at the latest.
- All memos to be actioned and responded to within seven working days, unless otherwise stated.
- The monthly report is mailed in at the beginning of the following month.
- Weekly summary report, 8 week and 2 week journey plans are received before 9.00 am each Monday morning.
Communication
- To build a complete knowledge and understanding of key accounts, including sales performance, stock holding and competitor activity.
- To build close working relationship with National Sales Manager, and all members of the Brand teams to maximise opportunities and ensure regular communication is maintained regarding existing accounts.
- Feedback market and competitor information consistently and regularly.
- Highlight stock availability issues to relevant departments.
- Regular and on-going feedback to the National Sales Manager of the portfolio. of accounts you are responsible for, including:
