Production Planner - Fine Jewellery

Jewellery Jobs: A fine jewellery Production Planner is required to join a prestigious jewellery company based in London!
The Production Planner will be responsible for managing the end to end process of supply for finished goods which are delivered on time and in full (OTIF) using all resources and knowledge gained in a similar role, to plan production capacities and optimise manufacturing capabilities.
Production planner has the overall responsibility for ensuring that products are produced efficiently, cost effectively and to the company and client standards.
Description
- Work with the Head of Production Planning to ensure that all approvals and orders are signed off against critical path milestones
- Track shipment of components (incl. diamonds) to manufacturers for completion of open orders
- Maintain, review and analysis data integrity to ensure accurate, current information
- Ability to remain level headed under pressure of tight deadlines and unforeseen circumstances
- Ensure launches are managed effectively and planned within agreed timelines
- Working closely with Quality Control / Diamond Evaluation:
- Assign mounts to stones for local mounting by external sources
- To be the key point of contact for supplier base.
- Build relationships with suppliers to ensure maximisation of delivery schedules
- Develop an in depth knowledge of suppliers with regular analysis of performance versus Company KPI’s
- Work proactively with manufacturers to ensure stock is despatched within agreed timescales
Requirements
- Experience gained in a similar role within the jewellery or associated industry
- Good time management, ability to meet deadlines and work to a critical pathGood coordinating and influencing skills
- Analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex data and to resolve technical queries
- Business oriented and commercially aware
- Microsoft office general capabilities
- Excellent excel skills essential
- SAP – a good understanding of SAP beneficial
- Full time, permanent
