Experienced Goldsmith/Workshop Manager is required to join a wonderful high end jewellery company, overseeing the workshop and production of high end jewellery repairs and commissions.

This company specialises in high quality fine jewellery and bespoke items at a high level of craftsmanship. This is a successful company, with a focus on providing an effective goldsmithing and repair service to their clients.

My client are therefore looking to find a talented Workshop Manager with a solid career history in Goldsmithing/Jewellery Production for their company.

Candidates will need to possess the ability to run a workshop and supervise jobbing jewellers/goldsmiths in their production of bespoke jewellery and repair work.

The successful applicant will spend their time split evenly between managing a team of two other goldsmiths and spending time at the bench.

Requirements and skills necessary for the position:

• Experience of running a jewellery workshop supervising other staff members
• Ability to make the right decision quickly and appropriately
• Experience of working with high end fine jewellery and bespoke pieces
• Ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of goldsmithing and repair procedures drawing on experience and skill set
• Ability to demonstrate thorough understanding of the jewellery manufacturing process
• Ability to size rings
• Excellent mounting skills
• Ability to make adjustments/repairs where necessary to a variety of items such as bracelets, chains, claw work, clasp repair etc.
• Assemble hand made jewellery
• Have a meticulous approach and a precise technique to your work
